Road Skippers has two types of communities:
  • Closed, by invitation only, where you need to ask a community admin for an approval to join;
  • Open, open to everyone and you free to join whenever you want.

A good example of a closed community is a community managed by your car insurance company who decides to use Road Skippers to reward its policyholders for good driving behaviour. If you join such a community you will have access to premium campaigns and rewards.

On the other hand, the open community is publicly available for anyone. For example a city decides to create an open group within Road Skippers for its inhabitants in order to promote and reward good and responsible driving in the city centre. If you join such a group, you will be rewarded by the city with local goodies (e.g. cinema or a local event ticket) if you are a good driver.
